Calling ALL Moms!

This is me.

I’m the mom you can laugh with and laugh at! – No hard feelings 🙂 I am a full-time working mom (currently on maternity leave), a pretty flippin amazing wife (what? It’s what my husband would say ☺️) and the mother of *four beautiful daughters*. I am 31 years old living in Westchester, New York trying to take a swig at this blogging thing because I thoroughly enjoy talking all things mom, kid and baby!

I’m not traveling the world, no extravagant lifestyle, just a Susan married to a Joe trying to raise our daughters in a demanding and crazy world. We make an effort to do the best that we can with what we have while trying to maintain a PEACE of mind.

Truth be told. I’ve been sitting on this first post for a very long time … “What on earth do I start with?” And that’s not like me because I am quite the chatter box – but writing, it is not my forte! (Plus, I’m more of a math chick)

So here it is, all the speculating lead me to this:

We are moms. We are amazing. Our bodies are amazing – no matter the shape, size or sag! Yeah I said it– sag! We all have a different way of doing things but fundamentally we are all on the same path, trying to raise our little ones in hopes that they will reach their full potential and maybe, even maybe – thankful for all the blood, sweat and tears that went into trying to give them the best darn childhood we knew how.

Something sparks in that delivery room – I’m talking besides the love between you and that baby. We become a part of something so special .. motherhood. We become members of this community of amazing women who develop a deep understanding of one another’s struggles and happiness.

We all know how we feel looking into the mirror the first time we are allowed to use the bathroom ourselves. We know how intimidating breastfeeding may be, or how annoying the pressure is to do so. (I was formula fed and I turned out just fine). We all know how tired you are at 2am during a feeding and how people look at you when your child is crying in the grocery store. We get it, we’ve felt it.

So here’s to you –

Working mom – We know you’re running around like a chicken with no head and time is just not on your side. You have two jobs! We know how demanding that may be. You are amazing!

Stay at home mom – We know you love your kids but can’t wait for bed time to get some sanity. And that’s okay, you are amazing!

Single mom- We know it’s not easy playing both roles but we know you enjoy getting double the love. You are amazing!

Here’s to you all!

Here’s to the mom that shouted “They act like they’ve never seen a crying kid before” while my daughter was having a temper tantrum in Home Goods. I was flush red in the face of embarrassment. (Not at the lady – my kid dopey!)

Here’s to the mom crying in the bathroom because she’s not too fond of her stretch marks. You are beautiful.

Here’s to the “super model” mom whose bounce back game is strong – Naa .. who am I kidding.. we hate you 🤣 Just kidding.. kind of

Here’s to the mom at the park that offered me some wet wipes. Thank you for sympathizing.

Thank you to all the Moms, Aunts, Nani’s and Grandmas for sharing your wisdom, remedies, recipes and sweet sweet memories.

Thank you to all the moms in heaven that have left an everlasting impression of what an angel really is… thank you for reminding us that time is precious. This is for you Lola.

Lastly, thank you to my friends. My sisters for encouraging me, my friends with no kids that come to baby sit or just have a coffee with me because I am in desperate need of adult conversation.

Thank you to my close mommy friends who listen to my ups and downs, share your stories, laugh, cry and drink with me! **Never judge me – at least I don’t think so… right!?

Thank you to my Instagram friends who share their tips and offer advice. I am thankful for the 4 am DMs.

It

takes

a

village.

Thank you all for being you. Let’s empower one another, offer a helping hand, or simply just sympathize.

Hope you enjoy!

There will be many days you feel like you’ve failed. But in the eyes, heart and mind of your child, you are a super mom. ❤
